01 / AFTER THE MEETING

Sound familiar after a meeting?

The PLAUD summary has arrived. Here's what still happens 30 minutes after the meeting.

30 min later What did they say?

You read the summary, but the exact wording and the nuance on price are gone.

1 hour later Copy, paste, repeat

Paste the transcript into ChatGPT and reshape it your way. Same prompt, every time.

That night Reporting is still you

Post to Slack, update Notion, write the thank-you email, copy tasks to your to-do list.

Recording, transcription and summary take PLAUD seconds. The work that decides what the meeting was worth comes after.

02 / WHAT YOU REALLY WANTED

What you really wanted after the PLAUD summary

Same meeting. Same PLAUD. This is how it should look when you walk out of the room.

As you leave the room It's already there

A thank-you email draft and client note updates are waiting in your chat.

Without asking Your format, every time

Attendees, agenda, decisions, next steps. Your usual shape, no prompt needed.

Before the next call Builds up per client

Last time's concerns and decision timing live in the client notes, ready for the next proposal.

What comes back to you Only the decision

"OK to send at this price?" That one question is all that comes back.

This starts from the first meeting after you connect your Plaud account to SIMY.

03 / WHERE PLAUD STOPS

Where PLAUD's transcripts and summaries stop

PLAUD is great at "what was said." What comes next, nobody picks up.

* Illustrative flow for explanation only

Ask Plaud and ChatGPT + PLAUD MCP stop in the same place. You can ask questions about a recording and get drafts. But you are the one who asks every time, and you are the one who checks whether it got done.

04 / CONNECT

SIMY connects the rest. Just link your Plaud account

SIMY fills the four blanks. Only one square, the decision, comes back to you.

* Illustrative flow for explanation only

  • Picks up from meetings
  • Works your way
  • Returns only decisions

SIMY reads the recordings, transcripts and summaries in your Plaud account and finds the post-meeting work on its own. It starts without being asked, learns the checks and priorities you repeat when you do good work, and follows the same approach.

How to use PLAUD: 5 things to do firstCharging, pairing, recording mode, summary templates, speaker names

5 things to do when it arrives

  1. Charge it and pair it with the app. NotePin charges fully in about two hours on its magnetic dock. Recordings transfer from the device to the app, then transcription starts. Transfer often so the device storage never fills up.
  2. Check the recording mode. PLAUD NOTE and PLAUD NOTE Pro let you record in either in-person or call mode, and NOTE Pro switches automatically. The NotePin series records in person only.
  3. Pick a summary template. Choose from over 10,000 templates for sales calls, 1:1s, lectures and more. Add your common meeting types as custom templates to keep summaries consistent.
  4. Register speaker names. Named speakers make notes easier to read and make it clear who took on what.
  5. Connect your Plaud account to SIMY. Just click "Connect" on the integrations screen.

On your computer: Plaud Web and Plaud Desktop

  • Plaud Web: sign in to your Plaud account in a browser to review recordings and edit transcripts.
  • Plaud Desktop: a desktop app for Windows and Mac. It records online meetings on Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Meet and more without adding a bot. Free for PLAUD users.

Phone or computer, SIMY can reference any recording saved in your Plaud account.

PLAUD NOTE key features: record, transcribe, summarize, Ask PlaudWhat it does best as an AI voice recorder

Recording, transcription and summaries

PLAUD NOTE is a voice recorder that uses AI to automate everything from recording to transcription and summary. One button starts recording, and you can mark key moments with highlights. NOTE Pro records for up to 50 hours straight, and the NotePin series clips onto a shirt pocket. Transcription supports 112 languages and separates speakers. Accuracy depends on distance to the mic and background noise; in meeting rooms, NOTE Pro has the edge with four mics that pick up voices up to 5 m away. You can choose the AI model for summaries, including GPT, Gemini and Claude.

Mind maps, Ask Plaud and multimodal input

Mind maps chart the structure of a conversation so you can see a long meeting at a glance. Ask Plaud (beta) lets you ask about a recording, such as "What was their budget?" You can also attach photos and text to a recording and keep them as one note.

Export and integrations

Export in more than 27 formats, including TXT, DOCX, PDF and SRT. PLAUD also supports export to Notion, the AutoFlow feature, Zapier, and PLAUD MCP, which lets AI tools read your recordings. Use PDF for sending outside, DOCX for editing internally, TXT for a lightweight full transcript, and SRT for timestamps or video subtitles. If you only use it with SIMY, you don't need to export at all.

Security, data protection and recording consentTraining opt-outs, encryption and how to get consent
  • Recording consent: get consent from everyone in the conversation before you start recording. SIMY's Terms of Service also make obtaining recording consent the customer's responsibility.
  • PLAUD security: PLAUD publishes compliance with SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001. Data is encrypted in transit with TLS 1.2 or higher and at rest with AES-256.
  • AI training: PLAUD states that it does not use recordings for AI training unless you explicitly consent. You can delete recordings you no longer need in the PLAUD app.
  • If you use PLAUD MCP: when used from the web versions of ChatGPT or Claude, recordings pass through PLAUD's US servers. PLAUD states that it does not retain the data after processing.
  • Connecting to SIMY: you sign in to your Plaud account on Plaud's own sign-in page and grant access. How SIMY handles data is published on our Security and Privacy Policy pages.
  • Transcription accuracy and testing: the basics are keeping the mic close, reducing noise and registering speaker names. For online meetings, place the device near the speaker for clearer audio. Test with a short meeting before you rely on it. Translation and downloads are handled in the PLAUD app.
09 / FAQ

Frequently asked questions

I just bought a PLAUD. Where do I start?

Pair the device in the PLAUD app, then check your recording mode and summary template. After that, connect your Plaud account on the SIMY integrations screen and it works from your very first meeting.

I already use PLAUD. Can SIMY use my past recordings?

Yes. Once connected, SIMY searches and references the recordings, transcripts and summaries stored in your Plaud account.

Does it work with every model, including PLAUD NOTE Pro and NotePin?

Yes. SIMY reads the transcripts and summaries saved in your Plaud account, so the model makes no difference. If you also want to record phone calls, choose PLAUD NOTE or PLAUD NOTE Pro, which have a call mode.

Can I connect on any PLAUD plan, from the free Starter to Unlimited?

Yes. All you need is a Plaud account with a registered device. Plans differ only in transcription time: Starter gives 300 minutes a month, Pro 1,200 minutes, and Unlimited has no cap.

Do I need to export to Notion or set up PLAUD MCP?

No. PLAUD MCP is PLAUD's official way for ChatGPT or Claude to read your recordings, but SIMY reads your Plaud account directly, so there is no export and no MCP setup.

Where is PLAUD based?

PLAUD is developed by Plaud Inc., headquartered in San Francisco, USA.

Will my PLAUD recordings be used for AI training or leaked?

PLAUD states that it does not use recordings for AI training without your explicit consent. It complies with SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR and ISO/IEC 27001, and data is stored encrypted. How SIMY handles data is published on our Security and Privacy Policy pages.

Do I have to specify my notes format (attendees, agenda, decisions, next steps) every time?

No. Finish one set of notes your way, and SIMY learns it and prepares the same format from the next meeting on. No more pasting transcripts and retyping the same instructions.

Who decides what was agreed, the AI or me?

You do. SIMY sorts out candidates from the transcript and summary and takes them as far as a draft, then hands back only what needs your judgment, such as amounts or whether to send.

Does SIMY work with transcripts from tools other than PLAUD, like Notion AI, Notta or Teams?

This page is about PLAUD, but the SIMY integrations screen also offers other connections such as Notion and Google, which can pass meeting context to SIMY. Check the integrations screen for current support.

Does SIMY add separate AI usage fees?

SIMY connects to your own ChatGPT account and does the work through the Codex App Server. Codex usage falls within your ChatGPT plan. For SIMY's own pricing, see the pricing page.

Do I need consent from the other people before recording?

Yes. Get consent from everyone in the conversation before you start recording. SIMY's Terms of Service also make obtaining recording consent the customer's responsibility.
