After the meeting, does this sound familiar?
Notta's transcript and summary are already in. Here's what still happens after the call.
The summary and a draft follow-up exist. Checking recipients and dates, then sending, is still you.
Transcript in Notta, threads in email, questions in Slack. The full picture lives only in your head.
Export the TXT, paste it into ChatGPT, fix it to your format, post to Slack. Same steps every time.
Recording and summarizing end in Notta. Whether the deal moves forward depends on the work that comes after.
What you really wanted after the Notta notes
Same meeting. Same Notta. This is what you wanted waiting when the call ended.
The follow-up draft and the team update are already written.
The last call, the emails and the quote assumptions, connected in one thread.
Reports and client notes in your usual format. No retyping the same instructions.
"Re-quote at this price?" "Which date do we offer?" That's all you decide.
This starts from the very meeting whose Notta transcript you hand to SIMY.
Notta's transcripts and notes stop at one meeting
Notta is great at recording one meeting cleanly and summing it up. The deal carries on outside that meeting.
- RecordBot or app
- TranscribeBy speaker
- NotesFrom a template
- Check past emails
- Consult the team
- Update client notes
- Follow through
* Illustrative flow for explanation only
Notta can also draft follow-up emails and CRM update data from templates. It syncs to Salesforce and HubSpot too (Business and up, according to the pricing table). But that is output for one meeting. Connecting it to earlier emails and team discussions and keeping it moving is still on you.
SIMY takes over: hand off the Notta transcript as a file
SIMY fills the four blanks. Only one square comes back to you: the decision.
- Record
- Transcribe
- Notes
- Check emailsDates in a Gmail draft
- Team updatePosted to Slack after OK
- Client notesNotion updated after OK
- Price and dateOnly decisions return
* Illustrative flow for explanation only
- Picks up from meetings
- Works your way
- Returns only decisions
SIMY finds the next work on its own from the meeting you hand it and the chat that follows. It learns your way of working from your conversations, lists only what needs a decision in My Actions, and follows the deal until it's done.
- Open the meeting transcript in NottaWeb or app, it works the same. Fixing speaker names first makes it clear who owns each to-do.
- Download it as TXT or Word and give it to SIMYDrop the file into SIMY's chat with a short note like "Acme sales call." Downloads are available on Notta Pro and up.
- On the Free plan, copy and pasteCopy the transcript text and paste it into SIMY's chat. You can also hand over the audio as an MP3 and SIMY will transcribe it itself.
* Illustration of the SIMY chat screen
To be clear: SIMY has no dedicated Notta integration (connector). Hand-off is by file or paste. SRT subtitle files can't be read, so choose TXT or Word.
One sales call: Notta's summary vs. what SIMY moved forward
A sample Zoom sales call recorded in Notta, with the transcript handed to SIMY as a Word file. Notta on the left, SIMY on the right.
- Overview
- Considering replacing their time-tracking system. Current contract runs through next March.
- Decisions
- Send a revised quote next week. The finance director joins the next meeting.
- Issues
- Setup cost exceeds budget. Payroll software integration not yet confirmed.
- Next actions
- Revised quote (us). Schedule the next meeting (both sides).
Revised quote: us, next week. Payroll integration check: our engineering team. Scheduling: waiting on their finance director.
Subject: "Thanks for today, and our revised quote." Includes the candidate dates from the last email thread, in your usual tone. You send it.
"Acme is stuck on setup cost. Can we confirm payroll software integration by Friday?" Posts once you approve.
Concern: setup cost. Decision: next meeting, with the finance director. Deadline: current contract ends in March.
1. How far to lower the setup cost in the revised quote. 2. Which candidate date to offer.
Notta records, SIMY moves it forward. Where to draw the line on discounts stays your call.

Getting started: 3 steps for Notta users
- Record in Notta as usualBot, desktop app or mobile app. No need to change how you record.
- Hand the transcript to SIMYExport as TXT or Word and drop it into the chat. See how to hand off above.
- Answer the decisions that come backReview the drafts and decide only where a decision is needed. That's it.
How sign-up works: choose a plan → verify your email → pay by card. There is no free plan. See pricing. Get the desktop app from the download page.
Keep your Notta plan as is: on Pro and up, hand off a file; on Free, copy and paste. Either way works with SIMY.

How to use Notta: recording your first meetingLogin, web app, mobile, desktop app, Chrome extension, Notta Bot
What is Notta?
Notta is a meeting notes tool that records meetings and conversations, transcribes them and writes AI summaries. It has a web app, iOS and Android apps, a desktop app for Windows and macOS, and a Chrome extension, and everything you record is saved to the same account. Notta's official site claims more than 10 million users (as of October 2026).
Where to log in
For the web app, use "Log in" on the official site (app.notta.ai). The mobile and desktop apps use the same account.
Your first recording
- Create an account and pick where to use it. For mostly online meetings, the web or desktop app; for in-person meetings, the mobile app is easiest.
- Connect your calendar and meeting tools. Link Google Calendar or Outlook Calendar and Notta Bot joins and records the Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex meetings on your schedule.
- Pick a summary template. Choose one that fits the meeting, such as sales call, weekly sync or interview, and your notes get consistent sections. Even the Free plan lets you create up to 5 custom templates.
- Set up custom vocabulary and speaker names. Adding company and product names to the vocabulary cuts transcription errors. Speaker identification is available from the Free plan.
- Import existing recordings. You can also import audio or video you already have and transcribe it. The monthly import limit depends on your plan.
Mobile app and Chrome extension
The mobile app suits recording and transcribing in-person meetings and interviews on the spot. The Chrome extension records online meetings opened in your browser. However you record, transcripts and summaries end up in the same Notta account.
Making meeting notes in Notta
- Before the meeting: check which meetings Notta Bot will join through the calendar link. Set up templates and vocabulary here.
- During the meeting: record with the bot, the desktop app or the mobile app. Tell participants you're recording before you start.
- After the meeting: check the AI summary and fix speaker names and proper nouns. Share or download at this stage.
- What comes next: the follow-up email, the team update and the client notes remain. Hand the transcript to SIMY and SIMY moves these forward.
Tips for better transcription accuracy
Notta says its accuracy is 98.86% or higher when speech is clear (its own claim). Accuracy depends on audio conditions, so the basics are: speak close to the mic, avoid noisy places, and keep people from talking over each other. For in-person meetings, put a phone in the middle of the table or plug a conference mic into a PC.
Downloading transcripts
Transcripts can be downloaded as TXT, Word, PDF, XLSX or SRT. Audio and video export as MP3, WAV or MP4. The web app can download up to 10 items at once, and transcript download is a feature of Pro and higher plans.
When transcription fails or stops partway
- Free plan limits: each recording is capped at 3 minutes and transcription at 120 minutes a month. Check whether you've hit a limit.
- Zoom recording permission: for Notta Bot to record in Zoom, the host has to allow recording.
- No audio picked up: the desktop app captures your PC's system audio. Check your speaker and mic settings and the recording environment.
- File imports: the number of files you can import each month depends on your plan (50 a month on Free).
How to record: with a bot, without a bot, privacy modeNotta Bot joining, bot-free recording in the desktop app, recording consent
Notta Bot: joins as a participant
Notta Bot joins Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex meetings as a participant and transcribes them. The bot shows up in the participant list, so others can see it's recording. Zoom requires the host to allow recording, and Notta also recommends telling people in advance.
Desktop app: record without a bot
The desktop app for Windows and macOS captures your PC's system audio, so no bot joins the meeting. It's included at no extra cost on Pro and higher plans. Audio recorded without a bot is still transcribed online as usual.
Privacy mode (beta)
The desktop app has a privacy mode that transcribes on your PC. As of October 2026 it's in beta, and AI summaries aren't available in it. It's an option for meetings whose audio you don't want leaving your machine.
Recording consent
Even when no bot is visible, tell participants you're recording and get their consent. Notta's official FAQ also asks you to give the required notice and get consent according to the law and your company policy. SIMY's Terms of Use likewise make obtaining recording consent the customer's responsibility.

What the Free plan can and can't do
The Free plan gives you 120 minutes of transcription a month, 10 AI summaries a month, speaker identification and 5 custom templates. But each conversation is capped at 3 minutes and transcripts can't be downloaded. To turn whole meetings into notes, Pro or higher is the realistic choice.
Discounts, special plans and add-ons
Students and educators get 50% off. There are special plans for healthcare and for licensed professionals, both equivalent to Business, and the professionals plan includes "no AI training." On Pro and up, real-time translation and bilingual transcription and translation can be added as paid add-ons, and every plan includes a few free uses a month.
The 3-day free trial
From the web app you can start a 3-day free trial of the paid plan. Notta's pricing FAQ says it renews automatically into a yearly plan, and that canceling within 72 hours means no charge. Check the terms shown for your region before you start.
Canceling
Check Notta's help center for how to cancel or renew a paid plan. Before downgrading, export any transcripts you want to keep as TXT or Word.
How to choose: to record meetings longer than 3 minutes, choose Pro. For team use with CRM sync or web meeting video recording, choose Business.
Transcription and notes features: 58 languages, Notta Brain, Sales AgentNotta itself is reaching past the summary
Transcription and translation in 58 languages
Notta transcribes 58 languages. Older articles sometimes say 140, but as of October 2026 the official site and app stores say 58. For meetings that mix two languages, the bilingual transcription and translation add-on is available.
AI summaries and notes templates
When a meeting ends, Notta writes an AI summary from your template. Its official site promises to cut post-meeting paperwork from 3 hours to 3 minutes, and describes a flow that produces notes plus follow-up emails and CRM update data from templates, then moves on to review, sharing, sending and system sync.
Notta Brain
Notta Brain is the AI agent built into Notta. It can analyze across multiple meetings, create PowerPoint, Word and Excel documents, generate images, and search across multiple files. Every plan includes 1,000 credits a month, and you can buy more as an add-on (see Notta's official site for pricing).
Sales Agent (Chrome extension for sales)
Sales Agent is a sales feature with Live Navi, which suggests answers and flags words to avoid during a meeting; CRM sync to Salesforce and HubSpot; and reports that flag stalled deals and missed proposals. Live Navi works in Google Meet, Zoom and Teams.
Export and integrations (by plan)
- All plans: Zoom, Google Calendar, Outlook Calendar, Notion, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Webex.
- Pro and up: Box, Google Drive, SharePoint, Dropbox, OneDrive.
- Business and up: Zapier, CRM (Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho CRM, Zendesk Sell, Salesflare, Freshsales).
These plan assignments follow Notta's pricing table and differ in places between its Japanese and English versions. Check Notta's pricing page for the latest.
What is Notta Memo? Notta's AI voice recorderHardware that supports call recording and offline recording
Notta Memo is an AI voice recorder sold by Notta. It supports call recording and offline recording. There is also a higher-end Notta Memo Pro. Check Notta's official site for current prices.
If your meetings are mostly online, Notta Bot or the desktop app is enough, and in-person meetings can be recorded with the mobile app or a conference mic on your PC. A recorder pays off for in-person conversations where pulling out a phone is awkward, or when you record many sales calls by phone.
Meetings recorded on Notta Memo can be handed to SIMY like any other: export the Notta transcript as TXT or Word.
Who Notta suits, and where it doesn't fitMixed meeting tools, bilingual meetings, resistance to bots
Who it suits
- Companies with a mix of meeting tools: the same Notta Bot joins Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams and Webex, so recording stays consistent even when each client uses a different tool.
- People in many two-language meetings: with the bilingual transcription and translation add-on, participants who speak only one of the languages can read the same notes.
- Teams that don't use Notion: transcripts and summaries live in Notta, so you can start without deciding where notes should go.
- People who want to test accuracy first: try short conversations on the Free plan and upgrade to Pro once you're happy with the accuracy.
Where it doesn't fit, and what to do
- A bot is hard to bring into client meetings: use bot-free recording in the desktop app (Pro and up). Notice and consent are needed with or without a bot.
- You don't want audio leaving your company: privacy mode transcribes on your PC, but as of October 2026 it's in beta with no summaries. If you need no AI training, the Enterprise plan or the special plan for licensed professionals applies.
- You want to record long meetings for free: the Free plan caps each recording at 3 minutes, so it doesn't suit long meetings.

| Compared | Notta | PLAUD |
|---|---|---|

PLAUD pricing and features are covered in the PLAUD guide. Whichever you record with, the work left after the summary is the same, and that's what SIMY takes on.

| Compared | Notta summaries and templates | Notta Brain | SIMY |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starts when | Automatically after a meeting | You ask | SIMY picks it up from meetings and chat |
| Scope | That one meeting | Meetings and files in Notta | The meeting you hand over, plus emails and threads around it |
| Your way of working | Adjusted with templates | Spelled out in each request | Learned from conversations, no asking every time |

How to choose: for recording and summing up meetings, Notta is the quickest tool. If the same kind of work keeps piling up after every meeting, SIMY is worth adding.
Is Notta safe? Where is it based? Security and AI trainingCompany, certifications, data location, the training clause in the terms
The company
Notta is run by Notta Inc., headquartered in Kanda-Jimbocho, Chiyoda, Tokyo. It was founded on May 25, 2022, and reports about 150 employees worldwide (as of August 2026). On the App Store, the app's provider is listed as MindCruiser.
Certifications and data location
- Certifications: ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II, with published compliance for GDPR, HIPAA, Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI) and CCPA.
- Where data is stored: the FAQ on the official site states that all data is stored in Japan.
- Admin features: according to the pricing table, external sharing limits, roles and permissions, and IP address restrictions come with Business and up, while SAML SSO, audit logs and automatic data deletion are Enterprise features.
AI training
Notta's speech recognition is processed through third-party partners' APIs. Section 10(4) of the terms of use states that, depending on your plan, partner companies may use your audio data to train speech recognition. In the pricing table, "no AI training" comes with the Enterprise plan, and it's also included in the special plan for licensed professionals.
Your data when you hand it to SIMY
A file exported from Notta becomes data handled by SIMY once you attach it in SIMY's chat. How SIMY handles data is described on our Security page and in the Privacy Policy.
Frequently asked questions
How much does Notta cost? What can I do for free?
As of October 2026, Notta's US pricing lists Pro at $13.61 a month billed monthly ($8.17 a month billed annually, $97.99 a year) and Business at $27.34 a month billed monthly ($16.67 a month billed annually, $199.99 a year). The Free plan includes 120 minutes of transcription a month, but each conversation is capped at 3 minutes and transcripts can't be downloaded. Check https://www.notta.ai/en/pricing for your region and taxes.
Is Notta safe? Which country is it from?
Notta is run by Notta Inc., a Japanese company founded in 2022 and headquartered in Chiyoda, Tokyo. It holds ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II and says data is stored in Japan. On the other hand, Section 10(4) of its terms of use states that, depending on your plan, your audio data may be used by partner companies to train speech recognition. In the pricing table, "no AI training" comes with the Enterprise plan.
What is Notta Memo?
It's an AI voice recorder sold by Notta. It supports call recording and offline recording. There is also a higher-end Notta Memo Pro. Check Notta's official site for current prices.
What's the difference between Notta and PLAUD?
Notta centers on recording online meetings with a bot or the desktop app, while PLAUD centers on recording in-person conversations with a dedicated voice recorder. Notta also has Notta Memo, and PLAUD has Plaud Desktop for recording meetings without a bot, so the difference is where each is strongest. SIMY can connect to your Plaud account, while with Notta you hand over transcript files.
Does SIMY integrate with Notta?
No. SIMY has no dedicated Notta integration (connector). Download the transcript from Notta as TXT or Word and give it to SIMY's chat, or on the Free plan, copy the transcript and paste it in. You can also hand over the audio as an MP3 and SIMY will transcribe it itself.
Can I use SIMY with Notta's Free plan?
Yes. The Free plan can't download transcripts, so copy the transcript in Notta and paste it into SIMY's chat. Note that the Free plan caps each recording at 3 minutes, so to keep whole meetings, Pro or higher is the realistic choice.
I don't want a bot in my meetings. What can I do?
Notta's desktop app (Windows and macOS) records your PC's audio, so no bot appears in the participant list, and it's included at no extra cost on Pro and up. There's also a privacy mode that transcribes on your PC, but as of October 2026 it's in beta and AI summaries aren't available. Even when no bot is visible, tell participants you're recording and get their consent.
Which format should I export Notta transcripts in?
Choose TXT or Word. SIMY can't read SRT subtitle files. If you hand over audio or video (such as MP3 or MP4), SIMY transcribes it again.
Notta can write follow-up emails too. How is SIMY different?
Notta can produce follow-up emails and CRM update data from templates, and offers sync to Salesforce and HubSpot (Business and up, according to the pricing table). SIMY connects the meeting you hand over with the emails and threads around it, carries it through to Gmail drafts and, once you approve, Slack posts and Notion updates, and returns only what needs a decision in My Actions. SIMY's job is to follow the deal until it's done, not stop at one meeting's output.
Does SIMY add separate AI usage costs?
SIMY's cloud runs use Codex on your ChatGPT account, and Codex usage falls within your ChatGPT plan. For SIMY's own pricing, see the pricing page. Your Notta costs stay as they are on your current Notta plan.
