Conductor Guide: Coordinate Parallel AI Development

Before assigning work to multiple agents, decide who changes what. Understand Conductor's workspaces and plan how to bring the results together.

What is Conductor?

This guide covers the AI development service at conductor.build, rather than the similarly named SEO service. Its official site describes isolated cloud workspaces with agents including Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and OpenCode.

Check the official site for current agent availability, connection steps and pricing. This guide does not assume that every feature is available on every plan.

Define boundaries before running tasks in parallel

Isolated environments do not remove conflicts when changes meet on the same branch. Environment separation is different from change independence. Start with tasks that have few dependencies rather than assuming more parallel work always saves time.

  • Confirm the repository and base branch, then choose a small, finishable task.
  • Give each task an allowed change scope and a clear result.
  • Assign ownership and an order for shared configuration or data structure changes.
  • Review each diff, then test the combined result.

An example of separable work

This is an example of task decomposition. Check each task's intended outcome before combining the changes. If both tasks must modify a shared component, decide the integration order before they start.

Task A: improve the contact page copy. Task B: check existing pricing page links. Neither task should change shared navigation or submission logic. Report the files changed and the checks performed.

Plan verification when using SIMY as well

The Conductor guide focuses on coordinating multiple development tasks. SIMY Delivery Loop covers implementation, verification and repair; SQM evaluates applicable registered safeguards. Decide which evidence you need for each part of your workflow.

We have not verified a dedicated SIMY–Conductor integration or automatic evidence transfer. If you use both, confirm the repository and diff at each handoff and retain separate test results for the integrated change.
